Tsuba : Muromachi jidai Ko Shoami (or) Ko Katchushi Antique Japanese Iron. 7.4cm x 6.6cm and 3.1mm thick at the seppa dai. It is either a ko katchushi work or one of the very very early Ko SHoami works. Conservatively, I lean towards calling it Ko Shoami. I have seen similar works in books listed under both descriptions. Fine piece with extensive sukashi. With age, some of the walls of the sukashi have become very thin. I prefer old kinko works. This one ships with its own paulownia storage box, as seen in the second photo.
