Jidai (era) : Momoyama era, late- 16th century / ca. Material : well forged & carved beautiful big iron plate with a fine & very elegant well balanced. Composition design of ” snow-hats ” in sukashi / cut-out in to the plate. With a rich & silky-wet deep dark chocolate brown patina. Very good iron & a beautiful color! Big sizes : 3-1/2″ x 3-3/16″ or 89.46 mm x 86.61 mm. Thickness : 2.68 mm thick at seppa-dai. Thickness : at the mimi / rim 4.04 mm. The plate is thicker at seppa-dai / center & thinner toward the edge , like pain cake shape.
