This is an authentic Japanese tsuba from the Edo period. This tsuba is absolutely top grade, it was made and signed by the 2nd master from the Shinkichi school, Higo. It is very difficult to come across a signed tsuba from the Shinkichi school. There is really no need to say anything more, fantastic maker, fantastic design and a fantastic tsuba. This tsuba is made of iron, excellent condition, beautiful patina. The image speaks itself. The box is also included. I had it for years, but have to let it go now, please feel free to let me know if you would like to ask any questions. Grab yourself a bargain and please also check my other listings, I have more tsuba available so if you are looking for something in particular please let me know.
