Large photos below under the description. A beautiful large & very attractive fine-iron Tsuba. Katana sized 8.0 cm or 3-1/8. Jidai (era) : early Edo period 17th century circa 1650’s. Material : well forged & carved fine- iron with A well. In fine sukashi’s / open work in to the space. With A rich & deep dark chocolate brown patina & A beautiful b lack shakudo fukurin. The edge / mimi. Tsuba remains lots of it’s original Urushi. Over it mix within the iron & exhibit A great & beautiful patina! Sizes : 3-1/8 ” x 3-1/8+” or 8.0 cm x 8.05 cm. Thickness : 5.6 mm thick at seppa-dai / center & 6 mm at the mimi / edge. Condition : beautiful color / patina & in excellent condition with no damage of any kind!
