Antique Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Tsuba Signed Nobuie (Nobu Iye). Superb Quality, Antique, Edo Period Japanese large sword guard Tsuba for samurai sword Katana Signed Nobuie (Nobu Iye) DETAILS: A well hand forged very masculine tsuba made of thick and heavy large iron Kaku Gata plate with unregular raised rim (Mimi) hammered with wavy outline. Surface pierced with Kozuka and Kogai hitsu-ana Kogai and plugged with blackened copper pegs. DIMENSIONS: 72 mm x 69 mm. Rim: 6 mm 2.83 inches x 2.72 inches. Rim: 1/4 Inch WEIGHT: 177 grams (6.243 oz) CONDITION: Age and usage is showing. In good condition considering its age. With excellent patina and color.
