Echizen Kinai school iron tsuba, round 8.60 x 8.60 x 0.40 cm, open work nikubori sukashi, design of kiku (chrysanthemum), leaves and waves. Kaku mimi, 2 hitsu ana, upper and lower copper sekigane. Original and in very good condition, slight old rust on a few rim spots. Signed “Echizen ju Kinai”. This is considered to be Yondai (4th gen) Ishikawa tsubako as has an extra stroke to right in “Echi”. Comes with kiri wood box.
