Old Japanese Edo period sword tsuba with inlay and gilding —
3 at the longest dimension. Depicts one of the sennin wearing a mug wort leaf robe. Holes drilled through at top and bottom – I’m not sure why, but the patina inside these matches the rest and I assume it may be original to manufacture, or at least close to it. That is unless something was inlaid there and has come out. Light corrosion and wear. Some loss to gilding on mug wort robe. Please see images for details.
