Large photos below under the description. A large & very attractive strong Heianjo Tsuba. Jidai (era) : early Edo period 17th century circa 1650’s. Large Katana sized 8.7 cm or 3-7/16. Material : well forged fine- iron with A well. In fine sukashi’s / open work in to the space. A rich & deep dark chocolate brown patina on the iron combined with old-Urushi lacquer. The whole Tsuba exhibit A fine workmanship & fine A beautiful condition with no problem of any kind! Premium condition on the iron & the brass inlays! Large sizes : 3-7/16 ” x 3-3/8″ or 8.7 cm x 8.6 cm. Thickness : 5.2 mm thick at the rim / mimi & 4.4 mm thick at seppa-dai / center. Condition : beautiful color / patina & in very good condition with no damage of any kind!
