Large photos below under the description. A strong, large & fine attractive old iron Tsuba. Beautiful fine iron, & beautiful patina! School : Aizu-Shoami, Ubu with no holes ” no Itsu-Hana “! Jidai (era) : Edo period 17th to 19th century. Motid design : Man on A Raft. Iron with gold silver & black shakudo. Note : The Man-hat & the big leafs just behind him & the trees in the mountain are in black shakudo. Man face harms & legs are silver inlays. There is some good nice work with A lots of fine details in that Tsuba! Material : well forged fine smooth iron plate with A very well. Motif design in to the space, Man on A raft, birds, & mountain scenery. Beautiful smooth deep dark chocolate brown patina. Sizes : 8.3 cm.
