Large photos below under the description. A fine & very elegant old Edo iron Tsuba. Jidai (era) : mid-Edo period 18th century. From an Ex-Museum collection, Tag numbers inside seppa-dai. Katana sized 3-3/16 inches or 8.13 cm. Motid design : Rimbo or Buddhist Wheel + Kiku /. Both Hitsu-Ana are plugged in black shakudo. Beautiful well forged fine iron mix with A deep deep dark chocolate brown patina. Mix with gold inlay’s/overlay’s. Beautiful visible forging, forging is nicely flowing on the fine iron. 3.9 mm thick.
