He went to Nagasaki to train as a Zen monk and studied painting there. His specialty was landscape painting in the Northern Song style, which was reflected in Tsuba, and his style was handed down from generation to generation. This Tsuba is a dragon and cloud painting, which was Wakashiba’s specialty. It is a powerful work that depicts a large cloud and dragon on a limited campus.
