Cloud and Dragon Tsuba – Unsigned – Iron Otafuku-Mokko Shape with Cloud and Dragon Design – Sukidashi High Relief – Katakiri-bori – Kebori – Gold and Silver Inlay – Angular Rim with Small Flesh – Double Hitsu-ana with One Gold-Filled – With Paulownia Box. Iron tsuba in otafuku-mokko shape featuring cloud and dragon design, unsigned, with sukidashi high relief carving, katakiri-bori (single-sided carving), kebori (hair-line carving), gold and silver inlay, angular rim with small flesh, double hitsu-ana with one filled with gold, in paulownia box. While the maker is unknown due to lack of signature, the dragon is charmingly and masterfully expressed with an endearing quality. The piece produces an exceptionally high-pitched ring when struck. Shows age-related dirt and rust but remains in good condition overall. Please examine the images carefully.
