Product DetailsThere is no tsuba box. Iron Tsuba by Yamakichibei (with Nata-Kosukashi/Small Hatchet Openwork Design) – Momoyama to Edo Period. This is a tsuba by Yamakichibei. &:mt-2 list-disc space-y-2 pl-8″ depth=”0>. Height: approximately 7.3 cm. Width: approximately 6.7 cm. Seppa-dai (washer seat) thickness: approximately 0.3 cm. Rim thickness: approximately 0.3 cm. Weight: approximately 96 g. The signature is well executed. Though difficult to see in the images, there is a subtle steel grain pattern visible near and on the rim. The base iron has a quality reminiscent of annealed metal. Note: “Nata-kosukashi” refers to a design featuring small openwork in the shape of a hatchet or cleaver.
