Tsuba Made by Koudai-Higo (NAKANE). Mei: Mumei, but has been attributed to the Higo Tradition (Nakane). Material: Iron and Silver inlay. Era: Late Edo Period. Region: Higo Province (Kumamoto). Status: Hozon Tosogu (March 26, 2024). It is Mumei but has been attributed to the Higo Tradition in late generation. This design was crafted by the Nakane Traditions in Higo. Cedar shapes inside a square pattern is a famous design of the Nakane Tradition. This theme differs slightly but the Tsuba has been attributed to the Nakane Tradition in the Higo Province.
