Antique & Historic Japanese Edo Period Tanto Dagger Seki Kanemitsu, Koshirae Mounts – Fine Temper, this Exceptional Objet d’Art Displays a True Old World Craftsmanship, Rests in Vintage Mounts with Decorative Ornamental Menuki, Iron Tsuba with Water Foliage Embellished in Gold, No Kozuka is Present, with Lacquered Decorative Saya; Exquisite Early Well Styled Blade Exhibits a Good Hamon (Temper Line) Wavy with Visible Action and Seen into the Tip with a very nice Offset Grain; Tang is Signed Kanemitsu – Genuine Quality Candidate Remains in Great Polish with the Blade Measuring 10 1/2 Inches (Decorative Habaki is easy to remove), 14 3/4 from the Tip to the Top of the Tang, 16 1/4 with the Tsuka (handle) Mounted, and 19 Resting in the Saya – Good.
