This is a masterpiece of Yoshiro style tsuba. The deep rusty color of the iron and the austere shining brass combine well with the unusual shape to create a precious gem that evokes an exotic atmosphere.
Japanese antique sword guard. The fact that it appears to be cast rather than forged suggests that it was made in the 1980s, during the Edo period in Japan. Feel the scenery from when there were still samurai in Japan.
